The TANGIER is the most refined fanny pack in the Barcon Getta collection. The body is wide and crescent-shaped — it curves at the waist, sits flat against the body, and carries with a quiet elegance that most fanny packs never achieve.
The leather is the story. The Brown Curry colourway is hand-burnished — darker at the edges, lighter at the centre of each panel. This is not a print. It is not a coating. It is the result of a finishing technique applied by hand to full grain leather. No two bags are identical. The Brown is warm and traditional — deep, rich, and full of natural variation. The Black shows the pull-up character of the hide — crease marks and tonal shifts that deepen with every carry.
Two zip pockets on the front face — a full-width upper zip and a full-width lower zip, separated by a raised leather welt. The main compartment opens wide like a clamshell — phone, wallet, cards, keys, a passport, and more. An internal zip pocket on the back wall of the main compartment handles flat items without opening the bag. The back panel is completely clean — no pockets, no hardware, just leather.

Conditioning
Apply a natural leather conditioner — beeswax-based or lanolin-based — every 3 to 6 months. Use a soft cloth, work in small circular motions, allow to absorb for 30 minutes, then buff lightly. The leather will darken slightly and return to its natural colour as it dries.
Cleaning
For surface dirt — a slightly damp cloth, no soap. For deeper marks — a small amount of saddle soap on a damp cloth, worked gently into the leather, wiped clean, then dried with a soft cloth.
Water
East African full grain leather is naturally water resistant. If the bag gets wet — wipe dry immediately and allow to air dry away from direct heat. Do not use a hair dryer or place near a radiator.
The Patina
The darkening, softening, and character development that appears over months of carry is not wear. It is the leather responding to your use. Condition it regularly and it will continue to develop for years. No two bags age identically. That is the point.
Storage
Store in the dust bag when not in use. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods. Do not compress under heavy objects.
