The DAKAR is the signature dress shoe of the Barcon Getta collection. Glen plaid suede leather — the same material as the MASERU loafer. Two silhouettes. One signature.
The upper is two-tone suede: smooth napped suede across the toe, vamp, and quarter — cream/sand or charcoal grey. Glen check suede on the wingtip saddle panel and heel counter. The check is fine, tight, and unmistakably Savile Row in its reference. A wingtip Derby silhouette with open lacing — less formal than an Oxford, more considered than anything else in the room.
The sole is the most distinctive in the collection — a striped wood-grain leather shank with the Barcon Getta crest at centre. Seen only from below. For the man who knows what's underneath matters as much as what's on top.

Cleaning
For surface dirt — a slightly damp cloth, no soap. For deeper marks — a small amount of saddle soap on a damp cloth, worked gently into the leather, wiped clean, then dried with a soft cloth.
Conditioning
Apply a natural leather conditioner — beeswax-based or lanolin-based — every 3 to 6 months. Use a soft cloth, work in small circular motions, allow to absorb for 30 minutes, then buff lightly.
Water
East African full grain leather is naturally water resistant. If the shoe gets wet — wipe dry immediately and allow to air dry away from direct heat. Do not use a hair dryer or place near a radiator.
Storage
Store with shoe trees when not in use. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods. Use the dust bag provided.
The Patina
The darkening and character that develops over months of wear is not wear — it is the leather responding to you. Condition regularly and it will continue to develop for years. No two pairs age identically. That is the point.
