The MALABO is a single-lace plain toe Derby. One eyelet. One lace. Tied in a bow. The entire upper is one surface — no cap toe seam, no brogue, no medallion, no stitching detail. Just the leather and the last.
The amber tan is warm and luminous — hand-burnished, it deepens at the toe and heel and glows at the vamp. The charcoal black is mirror-polished with a blue iridescence that appears only in direct light. Both are on a slim, elongated pointed last that makes this the most refined silhouette in the collection.
This is the shoe for the man who understands that the hardest thing to make is something with nothing extra on it.

Named for Malabo — the capital of Equatorial Guinea, an island city on Bioko Island in the Gulf of Guinea. Isolated, volcanic, and entirely its own. For the man who needs no company to feel complete.

Cleaning
For surface dirt — a slightly damp cloth, no soap. For deeper marks — a small amount of saddle soap on a damp cloth, worked gently into the leather, wiped clean, then dried with a soft cloth.
Conditioning
Apply a natural leather conditioner — beeswax-based or lanolin-based — every 3 to 6 months. Use a soft cloth, work in small circular motions, allow to absorb for 30 minutes, then buff lightly.
Water
East African full grain leather is naturally water resistant. If the shoe gets wet — wipe dry immediately and allow to air dry away from direct heat. Do not use a hair dryer or place near a radiator.
Storage
Store with shoe trees when not in use. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods. Use the dust bag provided.
The Patina
The darkening and character that develops over months of wear is not wear — it is the leather responding to you. Condition regularly and it will continue to develop for years. No two pairs age identically. That is the point.
