The PORTO-NOVO is a full brogue wingtip Oxford — the most decorated brogue construction in the collection. Perforations run the entire wingtip seam, the quarter seam, and the heel seam. A large medallion perforation cluster sits at the toe. Every seam is marked. Every edge is detailed.
The hand-burnished patina is deep and luminous — oxblood dark brown that shifts from burgundy to mahogany in different light. Deep navy blue that reads almost black until the light catches it. Both sit on a colour-matched chunky rubber sole — burnt orange under the brown, navy blue under the blue. The sole matches the shoe. The shoe matches the intention.
East African full grain leather upper — hand-burnished oxblood dark brown · hand-burnished deep navy blue. Full wingtip brogue perforations · large medallion toe perforation cluster. Closed Oxford lacing · 5 eyelets. Leather lining. Colour-matched chunky rubber sole · fine parallel ribbed tread · thick midsole stack · burnt orange or navy blue.
Named for Porto-Novo — the capital of Benin, a city on the coast of West Africa where the lagoon meets the Atlantic. A city of layers — Portuguese colonial history, Yoruba culture, and a modern identity entirely its own. For the man who carries more than one history and wears all of them well.

Cleaning
For surface dirt — a slightly damp cloth, no soap. For deeper marks — a small amount of saddle soap on a damp cloth, worked gently into the leather, wiped clean, then dried with a soft cloth.
Conditioning
Apply a natural leather conditioner — beeswax-based or lanolin-based — every 3 to 6 months. Use a soft cloth, work in small circular motions, allow to absorb for 30 minutes, then buff lightly.
Water
East African full grain leather is naturally water resistant. If the shoe gets wet — wipe dry immediately and allow to air dry away from direct heat. Do not use a hair dryer or place near a radiator.
Storage
Store with shoe trees when not in use. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods. Use the dust bag provided.
The Patina
The darkening and character that develops over months of wear is not wear — it is the leather responding to you. Condition regularly and it will continue to develop for years. No two pairs age identically. That is the point.
